It’s pretty obvious that we don’t get the chance to update this blog much, and that’s mostly because it’s really hard for us to keep up two blogs right now. As the media, and many “fans,” are voicing their frustration and bailing the bandwagon, we are buckling up and holding steadfast. On this latest project we’ve partnered with linebacker Larry English from our San Diego Chargers to release a Westside Love T-shirt in a Chargers throwback colorway, giving all SD fans the opportunity to show their true colors. Aside from representing the home team, 50% of the proceeds from every shirt will be donated to Larry English’s L.E.A.D. foundation and its supporting programs.
Less than 1% of people who dream of becoming professional athletes actually beat the odds to make a full-time living from professional athletics, and for those that do often times they have short careers with little job security. Larry English’s L.E.A.D. foundation understands this, and is committed to the educational and professional development of these student athletes. The proceeds from this Westside Love project will go to academic tutoring, professional development workshops, and mentorship programs for San Diego student athletes.
